Recent studies have found that up to 33% of Indeed postings are what are called "Ghost Postings" and not genuine. Further, it's been reported many of these applications are done by companies to create an illusion of growth to show investors. Some reports also state it's to fulfill certain requirements even if there is no interest in hiring. Also, I find it concerning since adding my phone number I'm now overrun with scam calls; so, I am suspicious many are phishing scams or selling data.

Most jobs posted are scams and when you call the company in question most will tell you "no there is no job" or to "apply on our own site because we automatically reject indeed applications" in the 3 years I've been using indeed and other job apps I've only received 2 interviews through the app.

Indeed, says no to poor America: It now requires you to add a non-virtual phone number to your account and for verification purposes. What about the millions of the unemployed and homeless that rely on virtual numbers because they cannot afford a monthly bill? There are so many ways to do things and this one is plainly "F THE POOR". I had two companies reach out to me to set up an interview, and now I cannot log in to the app despite providing the code sent to my e-mail. F THE POOR, right?
